The pre-publish checklist for AI-assisted content.

A useful review checklist for facts, tone, accessibility and links before your next post goes live.

Relay editorial · 18 October 2026

Check the claim behind the hook

A catchy opening still needs to be accurate. Trace factual claims to their original sources, confirm dates and remove numbers you cannot support. Make clear when you are sharing an opinion or a proposed approach.

Read it in your own voice

Remove phrases you would never say. Prefer a concrete example over a broad promise. Ask whether the post delivers the value its opening implies. If it does not, strengthen the explanation or simplify the opening.

Make the content accessible

Use short paragraphs and descriptive link text. Provide meaningful alternative text for useful images and captions for video where appropriate. Preview the post on a narrow screen before it enters the queue.

Follow the next step yourself

Open every link and check the destination. Make sure the call to action fits the content. After publishing, record useful questions and corrections so the next draft benefits from the feedback.
